Plaid & Security
Dividend Vision uses Plaid to let you connect your brokerage accounts securely. Plaid is the same service trusted by Venmo, Robinhood, Coinbase, and thousands of other financial apps to link bank and investment accounts.
How It Works
- When you tap Connect Account, Plaid opens a secure window where you log in directly with your brokerage.
- Dividend Vision receives read-only access to your holdings and balances — we cannot place trades, move money, or modify your accounts in any way.
- Your brokerage credentials are entered in Plaid's secure environment and are never seen or stored by Dividend Vision.
What We Can See
- Account name and type
- Current holdings (ticker, quantity, cost basis)
- Account balances
What We Cannot Do
- Place trades or execute transactions
- Transfer or withdraw funds
- View your brokerage username or password
Manage Your Connections
You can review and manage all of your Plaid connections at any time by visiting my.plaid.com. From there you can see which apps are connected to your accounts, review what data is being shared, and revoke access to any connection you no longer need.
