How public portfolios work
Dividend Vision members can choose to publish a profile and selected portfolios. Public portfolio cards help you discover stated objectives, strategy tags, holdings, allocations, estimated income, and other metrics calculated from current Dividend Vision data. Profiles and portfolios remain controlled by their owners and may be changed or removed.
Following and forking
Following keeps a public portfolio in your activity feed so you can revisit its public updates. Forking creates a separate copy in your account for private analysis; it does not keep your copy synchronized and does not place trades. Review every holding and assumption before adapting another member's idea.
Important context
Public portfolios are user-generated examples, not verified brokerage records, model portfolios, recommendations, or guarantees. Displayed yield, safety, and return figures can change with prices, distributions, and available data. Use filters to discover ideas, then inspect the individual assets and official issuer materials.
Comparing public examples
Compare portfolios with similar objectives rather than ranking every strategy by yield alone. The number of holdings does not guarantee diversification, especially when several funds own the same underlying companies. Open the exposure and overlap tools to look through supported funds, and note when a portfolio was first published or last updated.
Strategy labels are descriptive selections made for discovery and do not prove that a portfolio consistently follows a mandate. Read the owner's description and holdings together, and remember that visibility can change whenever a member updates sharing preferences.
