Target-distribution ETFs
Target-distribution ETFs aim to pay a specific, pre-set income level — Defiance's Target 20 and Target 30 line (SPYT, QQQT) and similar managed-payout funds — rather than distributing whatever an index yields. They use an options-income strategy to hit the target, which means a high, predictable-looking distribution but capped upside and NAV-erosion risk if the payout outruns returns. The yield floor here separates these from target-outcome (buffer) funds, which barely distribute.
