Free cash-parking guide
Where should this cash live?
A chooser, not a yield leaderboard. Exchange-listed SGOV and WEEK stay in the set. Schwab, Fidelity, and Vanguard money funds appear only if you can buy them. Check each issuer's 7-day or 30-day SEC yield — this page does not pick a distribution-rate winner.
How to read this
This is a matching guide, not a rate pick
Yields move. A trailing distribution rate is not the same as a money fund's 7-day yield or an ETF's 30-day SEC yield. Open the issuer link on each card and compare dated measures. None of these products is an FDIC-insured bank deposit.
- SGOV is the iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF. It trades on an exchange and pays monthly.
- WEEK is the Roundhill Weekly U.S. Treasury ETF. Weekly payouts are weekly — not a monthly equivalent.
- SWVXX, FDRXX, SPAXX, VMFXX are money funds. They only appear after you say you can buy that broker's funds.
- LQID stays in a separate lane. It is an ultra-short bond ETF with option income, not cash.
